The brutal and misogynist mullahs ruling Iran has committed yet another heinous crime by cutting off the water supply to the women prison during the hot summer.
The warden in the notorious Gharchak Prison in Varamin, located in southeast Tehran, especially allocated for women inmates lack the basic human need which is water to put more pressure on prisoners. This has created inhumane conditions for the women in this prison during the scorching summer heat and the fasting month of Ramadan.
Women in this prison are detained in warehouses that lack any
ventilation or A/C devices. Held in large numbers, they cannot even
breathe easily while the high summer heat has made conditions extremely
intolerable.
The regime’s officials have also begun using loudspeakers since Thursday, June 18 threatening the prisoners with lashing if they are seen eating or drinking during the fasting hours of Ramadan.
