State-run sources wrote, “Death sentences for two young boys were confirmed yesterday by the country’s supreme court. The mother and two sisters of one of the condemned boys appeared weeping in Tehran Province’s criminal court and asked the judge for amnesty.”
“Believe me, my son was not a convict. After my husband’s death he had been providing the expenses for me and my two daughters. If my son is executed our lives will become even worse,” the grieving mother said.
